My homemade metal foundry needed insulating, but typical high temperature insulation is expensive. A rummage through my shed and a trip to the hardware store gave me an idea for a quick, easy and above all affordable insulation material - this video will show you it in action.

Whist the refractory that I used to built my foundry is excellent at handling high temperatures, it's not very good at retaining that heat. This means my homemade veg oil burner struggles on cold days and the whole set up was inefficient. Thankfully here I demonstrate a simple and affordable solution to the problem.
