Much healthier than a Snickers and tastes even better 🍫
Try this Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bar to satiate your hunger.
Recipe:
For the bars:
- 1 cup oats, blended into flour
- 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips, optional
For the topping:
- 80g dark chocolate
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Directions:
Line a loaf or slice tin with baking paper. Add all of the bar ingredients to a large bowl and mix well. Tip the mixture into the loaf tin, and press down the mixture, so the bars are an even shape. Place in the fridge while you make the topping. Melt your chocolate and coconut oil together. Pour over the top of the bars and place back in the fridge or freezer to set for 2 hours.
Tip - use a hot knife to cut the bars, so the chocolate doesn’t crack.
