Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes - Azure Gleam - Part 43: The Conquest of Hevring (Recruit Byleth)

The main quest battle of Chapter 12 of Azure Gleam is upon us, and this is where you make a critical decision that influences the story from here on out. As the Kingdom breaks through Hevring Territory on their way to Enbarr, the Ashen Demon shows up once again to mess with our heroes, and depending on how you play this mission, you can either kill him/her or recruit him/her. In order to recruit Byleth in this mission, you must:

1. Survey the land for the "Locate Ambushers" strategy.
2. Take the "Locate Ambushers" strategy with you into the main quest battle.
3. Avoid the flashing keeps as you advance toward Randolph.
4. When Fleche appears, retreat back to your base as a massive ambush appears and advances on it.
5. Destroy Alois and all of the other ambushers without letting them enter the Allied Base.
6. If you did it right, Byleth will appear in the south of the map after killing Fleche. If an ambusher enters the Allied Base, Byleth will instead appear right outside Randolph's gate and you'll have to kill him/her to get to Randolph.
7. Continue north and kill Randolph before Byleth gets there.
8. PROFIT.
