Clyde Barrow’s Stringtown Shootout in 1932

In August of 1932 Clyde Barrow, Raymond Hamilton and Ross Dyer took a break from crime to attend an outdoor dance they happened upon in Stringtown, Oklahoma, while his love Bonnie Parker visited her mother in Dallas. The fun evening did not go as planned, and when the night was over the deputy Eugene Moore lay dead and the sheriff wasn’t expected to live. Find out how the night went so terribly wrong right where it all happened. Know that accounts differ somewhat as to where exactly Moore was when the shooting started. Some say he was right behind Sheriff Maxwell. Others say he was sitting in his car guarding a female prisoner. Either way, the story ended the same.
