Offseason Training for 9 Year Old

Rare off day from football, soccer and wrestling yesterday so we did an in-season training session for @prestonlobliner . Since this might be the only session this week (football playoff game Saturday) we hit everything and made sure to keep volume lower and output high. Preston is 9 years old.

-Hex-Bar Deadlift hits the entire body, mostly the posterior chain, and leads to greater force generation and speed.
-Bench Press is something I don’t do with all athletes, but with football players, pushing things is a common practice and it’s also a measure of strength in high school and college for recruiters. Teaching proper form at a young age is critical.
- @trueformrunning is the best treadmill ever created for improving and correcting running form at top speed.
