Iranian MPs deny reports of ‘death penalty for 15,000 rioters’

A senior Iranian human-rights official has slammed coverage of protests in the country by UK-based media, calling it an unlawful anti-Iranian campaign. This comes as the Western media claim that 15,000 protesters have been sentenced to death in Iran during the past two months of protests. Tehran has denied these reports.
