COE premiums hit new highs in three categories, including larger cars and motorcycles

Certificate of Entitlement premiums have hit record highs in the first bidding exercise under the new quota period, which sees 13.7% fewer COEs available. The latest tender saw surges in all categories, with highest-ever premiums in three categories. COE premiums for large, powerful cars are now over $115,000, cruising past the $113,000 mark set in September. Motorcycle premiums jumped to $13,189. Open category premiums climbed by over $8,000 to around $116,577.
