INGREDIENTS :

200 grams golden syrup ( 7.05 oz )
85 grams treacle ( 2.99 oz )
85 grams light brown sugar ( 2.99 oz )
100 grams oatmeal ( 3.5 oz )
250 grams self raising flour ( 8.8 oz )
60 ml milk ( 4 tablespoons )
1 egg
1 tablespoon ground ginger ( 8.43 g )
200 grams butter ( 7.05 oz )

INSTRUCTIONS :

.butter a small baking dish & line with parchment paper
.in a bowl mix 1 egg & 60 ml milk
.in a bowl add 250 grams self raising flour, 100 grams oatmeal
.add 1 tablespoons ground ginger & mix together
.in a pan on low to medium heat add 200 grams golden syrup, 85 grams treacle
.add 85 grams light brown sugar, 200 grams butter
.mix well & cook until sugar has dissolved & butter melted
.remove from heat, add the oatmeal mixture & mix well
.add the egg mixture & mix well
.pour the mixture into the baking dish & smooth out
.place in preheated oven 180 c / 356 f for 30 to 40 minutes
.leave to cool & eat or store in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks
