Fall is a time of great transition. Just as the leaves fall off the trees to be turned to compost, so too do parts of ourselves fall away, which can leave us feeling newly exposed and a bit raw.

If we don’t pause to give ourselves the breathing room to adjust our energy to be in tune with the rhythm of nature, this time of year can be very dysregulating. And it’s nearly impossible to feel centered, to make authentic decisions, and to be feel safe having our heart open when we’re dysregulated.

In Ayurveda (the sister science of yoga), this time of year is known to amplify the Vata dosha, which rules the air and ether elements. Vata energy is light, cool, dry, hyperactive, and ethereal. An imbalance in Vata energy can make one very disconnected from the body. You may notice your sleep gets lighter this time of year and your digestion struggles. You may be living more in your head with thoughts racing. Your boundaries may become less strong and more permeable. If any of this resonates, your Vata dosha is asking to be more balanced.

In this workshop, we will slow down the mind and densify the energy body through gentle yoga, meditation, energy clearing, and embodiment practices to help you ground the Vata in your system.
