Fall is a time of great transition. Just as the leaves fall off the trees to be turned to compost, so too do parts of ourselves fall away, which can leave us feeling newly exposed and a bit raw. If we don’t pause to give ourselves the breathing room to adjust our energy to be in tune with the rhythm of nature, this time of year can be very dysregulating. Vata energy is light, cool, dry, hyperactive, and ethereal. An imbalance in Vata energy can make one very disconnected from the body.
