Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was injured in an attempted assassination.

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that he will begin his protest march to Islamabad after recovering from an assassination attempt, as his supporters held statewide protests that blocked vital highways.

On Thursday, Khan was shot in the leg while waving to supporters from a container mounted on a truck, from which he was leading a protest march on the capital demanding early elections and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's resignation.
