The first thing anyone out there feeling shame regarding their weight, body, habits, or progress, needs to know is that we come up with beliefs and coping strategies when we are very young. Typically they don’t serve us well in our adulthood but they came in to:

1. Protect us
2. Prioritize us
3. Punish us

The good news is you can uncover what lies beneath and upgrade that part of you to do a better job for you today. You can still be safe and this part of you can help you be healthier and happier.

Also know that there’s a lot stacked against us when it comes to food, addictions, Temptations etc. Releasing any feelings of shame about your past actions, your body, or yourself is necessary to getting on the pathway to reaching your goals, shedding weight and optimizing your health.
