The owner of the property asked us to put new steps here, but after looking things over we were able to repair what she had. We also made things better.

This porch is a perfect example of why we always attach to the mobile home.

So the owner of the rental property asked me to put some steps up here to get rid of the deck, because it was falling in. But I think I can fix the deck and then add some steps. But the problem. It’s not connected to the house, doesn't have any braces on the on the 4x4’s. So we're going to try to make things better and we'll show you how we do.

Well, looking at it a lot of our stability problems can be fixed by putting a board here on this on this mobile home and then taking this and setting it on, and fastening to it so it's tied to the mobile home. It’s sitting on a concrete slab. So, that should be fine. But we also got to cut this handrail so we can get up close to it. So we'll cut that and we'll measure this.

It shows about 50 inches and make a two by four, tilt this thing back and then we'll put a brace on it over here whenever we get it back over there and fastened. Show you how we do it.

So we did Hulk. tilted that over, which wasn't hard at all. And measured from the sidewalk to the bottom of the deck here and marked 20, and 18 3/4.

So now I'm going to put the board here and fasten it to the underneath there, providing there’s something fastened to that. Here we go.

And now, I’m going to cut this then market this handrail off. Tilt it back up and fasten it to the house.

So now we tilt to the back over. Lift it up on top of that board. I'm not trying to change everything, you know, because I'm still having to bill the lady who owns the property.

Not what she wanted me to do. She just wanted me to build the steps. But I think I can make good use of this very little cost. So now we're going to fasten screws through here into that, and then we'll space that back there, out. Since I cut it off and then we'll put a brace over here. So let me get the screws. All right? Yeah, here we go. Steady that up.

“You need a pry bar or something?”

I don’t know, let’s get a sledge hammer and knock that over.

So put in support here to strap it this is ah, little heavier lady. Um let me see, 14 and an eighth.

“You got an unexpected visitor.”

All right, now. Put these steps in, 32 inches wide. I’d like them to be bigger. But trying to keep this thing in a budget like $65 materials.

Almost got my foot.

“Like that guy with his fingers?”

Ya, ow.

Holding on a little tiny sliver.

“Good thing he wasn't alone, when that happened. Otherwise how would he get his fingers out?”

You’ll get them out. I’m suprise that they left it there.

“Why would he let go?”

I’m going to move my hand.

“I don’t know how heavy those weigh.”

They're heavy. Steel. Wonder if I shouldn't put her in a better handrail with that 2x4 I got left. We’ll see.

Well we built a handrail because I had extra 2x4 so I put it on here steps are screwed in place really good. Even delivered a package while we're working on it. So just in time now, we're going to see what she thinks and haul off all the trash, the steps and everything.

“Ta-da.”

There you go what I do is took like a more time to go get the materials and to do the job. See ya.
