Started a nine mile hike on my day off, exploring a relatively new state park right on the edge of the city of San Antonio. In part 1 I transition from the flat and Blackland Prairie to the rocky limestone outcrop of the Balcones Escarpment. This is literally the border of the Texas Hill Country in NW Bexar County.
