On February 22nd, 2011, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake devastated the city of Christchurch, New Zealand, killing 185 people. In the midst of the devastation, Andy and Amber Cleverley were trapped at the top of a high rise hotel, where they met an American man they knew only as Jeremy. In the most dire of life circumstances - trapped and thinking the building was going to collapse in the earthquake aftershocks - they forged a bond, while supporting each other and talking about what they would change in their lives if they managed to escape the building and survive. Many terrifying hours later, they were rescued, only to be separated in the chaos that followed. They never saw each other again. In the years to come, Andy and Amber battled serious post-traumatic stress and depression. It took all their strength to rebuild their lives and try to change them in the way they had talked about in the ruins of that high rise building. Seven years later, with a new and healthy life on the road in a house bus, Andy and Amber's thoughts turn back to the man they bonded with at the top of that crumbling building. What has become of Jeremy? Has he gone through any of the same struggles they have? Has he tried to build a new life too? Armed with the barest of information, Andy and Amber set out to find Jeremy.

In Part 2 Andy and Amber make the decision to follow through on changing their lives in the way they promised they would while trapped in the building during the earthquake. They decide to buy an old school bus and convert it into a house bus. The transition to their new lives isn't easy and takes a toll on them both, but the desire to finish the bus and begin a new life drives them forward. Andy decides to start a YouTube channel documenting the experience and the seeds of a new life being sown. The channel grows and Bus Life NZ is born. Finally, happy in their new lives, their thoughts turn to Jeremy - the man they bonded with on that terrible day trapped in a damaged building. What has become of him?
