77 days of hell in the Battle of Khe Sanh | Vietnam USMC Veteran Mark Wirges

Mark Wirges and several high school buddies volunteered for Vietnam partly as revenge for the loss of a high school friend. Mark tells his story of survival of the longest and most intense battle of Vietnam--the battle of Khe Sanh and its 77 days of hell. Mark came back a changed man. Most of his friends didn't come back at all. To this day he is active in his community, a friend to veterans, a leader in Toys for Tots and recently, when Bend, Oregon cancelled the Veterans Day parade, he took it upon himself to gather friends and supporters to have an unsanctioned but amazing Veterans Day parade anyway.
