Petrified Forest National Park is located in northeastern Arizona. There are many stops along the way, and this video shows the top 15 highlights of the park.

The park covers 346 square miles. The headquarters is 26 miles east of Holbrook, Arizona, along I-40, and it parallels historic Route 66. From Holbrook, take I-40 exit 285 to US 180 East to the south entrance. Then drive north through the park to I-40.

To the north of the park is the Painted Desert. As you drive north of I-40, you’ll see an iconic 1932 Studebaker, left to bake in the sun.
