Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin joins Fox and Friends to talk about recent student walkouts in opposition to Youngkin’s proposed trans policies which Republicans want to pass off as prioritizing parental rights. The Majority Report crew discusses the toxic rhetoric used by Fox and Youngkin as they call for children to trust their parents with issues of identity as if parents had been removed from such conversations with their children. The MR crew also talks about the Right’s conflicting image of teachers as indoctrinators and bodyguards in case of a school shooting.

The primary agenda point on the national Republicans' list of priorities is of course to be as transphobic as possible and here is a Governor Youngkin on Fox and Friends this morning trying to make that point... and the idea that parents have been taken out of this, that's not the case there is no book on the law that says can't inform the parents of something. Yeah, I mean that this is a story that's tried and true which is that when kids try to like express their sexual orientation or their gender identity in a way that maybe their parents are not okay with it's deeply detrimental to their mental health and Youngkin is trying to make this like normalize it and make it the law of Virginia...
