Psalm 92:11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

If we don't exercise the biblical principle of line on line, we could get the wrong idea of what God is saying. God told us that he doesn't want anyone to perish: 2 Peter 3:9. He also said: Ezekiel 33:11..... I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live:...

Therefore, when he speaks of his desire for the wicked, line on line shows us clearly, that his desire, is for the wicked to live. Why then does he say in verse 9 of this Psalm that his "enemies shall perish" and connects that with his desire in this verse? How could he want his enemies (sinful man) to live and want to destroy them at the same time?

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that *the body of sin might be destroyed*, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

The desire he expressed to see his enemies (sinful man) destroyed, it comes to past when the old man is destroyed in Christ and this is where God's heart is, to save us.

Everytime we allow the word of God (Jesus) to work in us, the old man will be destroyed. And God is well pleased to destroy him, for his destruction is our salvation! Selah.
