How I bought the last brand new 2022 SRT Challenger Super Stock *NO MARK-UP*

I did it again! I tell the story, with video, of the dealership experience buying a brand new 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Wide Body Super Stock, or just Super Stock for short. It is one of the last ones remaining on dealership lots, and the last one in my area. Made in low numbers in 2020, 2021 and its final year 2022, the Super Stock is a Dodge Demon tribute car. It has the same power-plant, with nominal 807HP (its really the same as the Demon 808HP, but it respects the Demon being at the top).
That’s not to say this car is slow or any less fun. It is an amazing machine, with one mission, one quarter mile at a time. It can keep doing them over and over…But that if for another video.
This episode shows the struggle of an average guy, trying to buy a Super Stock. Few of these Mopar beasts remain on dealership lots, most having tremendous mark-ups. Most cars are used, advertised as new. Other cars show up in inventory but are already sold cars. Banks will not finance the mark-up portion of the price, and I, like most of you don’t have that kind of cash laying around.
We all know prices will go up after Dodge discontinues V8 production, so its now or never, and I got so lucky, in finding this car without mark-up, finding this car with all the options I wanted, finding this car near enough, and having the support from my mother, a true Shop Mom!
I am grateful for her help and support, and in helping me get back on my feet after my accident.
I want to wish all of you luck in finding one of these dream muscle cars. From the R/T to Scat Pack, to Hellcats, to anything with our beloved Hemi, new or used, they complete our lives in a way non car people just don’t get. Mopar or no car!
