Bulloch Chairman of Board of Elections & Registration

This is 7/11/22. On this day, Mr. Hadley Campbell, Election Superintendent Chairman of Bulloch county, explains the circumstances that presented the fact that the county attorney and his own Elections Supervisor had withheld not one, but nearly 15 open records requests from him originating from Sarah Thompson and VoterGA. He says he DID NOT KNOW about them. Filings were between 5/24 - 6/15, while the returns were under the temporary safekeeping of his department. Completed returns and certification reports should have by law gone to the clerk of the superior court IMMEDIATELY on 5/31 or 6/1. They did not. They were held with Elections until the government docs could be altered on 6/13.Show more

The formal requests had been addressed to him, and the county had worked to deny communication between citizens and the Board of Elections & Registration. It was discovered after this meeting that the new county email accounts were not working. NO TEST MESSAGES have gotten a response.

Still today, 9/16, the county entail addresses for the board are not on the county Elections Department website.
