EVGA RTX 3080 ti RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA Hybrid Gaming Graphics Card Unboxing

This video shows the unboxing of a new EVGA RTX 3080 ti RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYBRID GAMING, 12G-P5-3968-KR graphics card.

I bought this card to upgrade my EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Super XC Hybrid Gaming, 08G-P4-3188-KR 8 GB GDDR6 that I bought after buying the HP Reverb G2 VR headset and not being satisfied with the performance in Project CARS and Star Wars Squadrons.

Even though I was upgrading from a EVGA 1080ti Hybrid card (which has similar performance to the 2080 Super), I was able to successfully overclock the 2080 enough to make Project CARS very drivable and a lot of fun to play with the G2. Here's a link to that video:

I wasn't that successful with Star Wars Squadrons with the overclocked 2080 Super. It was playable, but not fun. I had to put all the graphics settings on the lowest value. Here's a link to that video:

So I put that game aside until I could upgrade to a 3090 or 3080ti.

I bought 3080ti through the EVGA notification queue. Fortunately I got into the queue in June 2021 because recently the queue has been frozen because I guess bots/scalpers are still grabbing most of the cards. So it took about 6 months in the queue to get my card.

I bought a Hybrid graphics card because I like quiet operation plus I think overclocking is more successful with a water cooled card. From what I read, they don't make as many hybrid cards so it took longer than a more basic card.

I'll follow up this video with my experience of installing it in my PC.

I have a custom built (by me in 2017) PC powered by:
1) ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X CODE Motherboard
2) Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core LGA 1151 Processor
3) be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 ATX Full Tower: Orange case

I normally use an ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 27" Monitor to play games on my PC, but some games like driving games and flight/space simulators are much better if you can move your head around and see in different directions. It provides much more immersion.
