Mindfulness Breathing for Children with Anxiety.

Hot chocolate breathing – what better way to get the kids to be a little more mindful of their breathing by imagining holding a cup of hot chocolate – inhaling its rich aroma, and exhaling to cool it down.

This breathing technique is ideal to add into your child’s mindfulness toolbox that doesn’t require any equipment, and they can use it anywhere.

Adding the ‘breathing button’ helps your child be mindful of how they are feeling, and associate a certain object to physically go over to when they do feel anxious or hyped up, and take a deep breath when touching it – anchoring this action and object with breathing.
