9/11/2021 Surprised on the quick cardboard vs compost carrot seed germination
Follow the progression of the carrot seeds I planted on August 28, 2021 until September 8, 2021. The seeds were started in 10 gallon grow bags and both sets of seeds were covered with sifted compost. One grow bag was covered with a piece of cardboard to help retain moisture for germination. Once the seeds began to germinate in the grow bag I removed the cardboard so the carrots could begin to photosynthesis so they could continue to grow.
Tropical storm Ida came through on September 1st and we got 3-4 inches of rain in my area.

My results for this experiment was the cardboard bag germinated one day sooner than the bag with just compost covering the carrot seeds.
