12/11/2021 Overwintering pepper plants

I dug up my jalapeño, Red Savina, and bhut jolokia (aka ghost pepper) to bring inside for the winter so in the spring the plant will be ready to grow faster and hopefully produce more peppers. This worked for my jalapeño plant last season.

I layered a piece of newspaper at the bottom to help keep the soil in the pot plus help to hold on to some moisture for the plants. I added compost to the bottom so that it will give a little nutrients to the plant over the winter.

These plants are in a south facing window for the winter and they get watered about once a week to keep the soil damp. (Not actually trying to have the pepper plants grow)
