We know that China’s electric vehicle industry is booming and staging more influence in the world’s EV market. In 2021, China produced over 3.5 million new energy vehicles. Today I wanna take a closer look at one of the battery charging methods, the battery swapping technology. It’s a solution to taxis and ride-hailings that needs their cars to be on the road for as much of the day as possible, also an option for people who live in the city that couldn’t have a place to charge. Like many metropolises in the world, Chongqing is adopting this charging method gradually.

I’m gonna take you to visit a vehicle manufactory in Chongqing. It has an electric vehicle battery swapping station there, and we’re gonna experience how fast the swapping process will be in that station. I heard it only takes 1 minute. Also, we’ll get to know how the system is running, how’s this technology applied in this city, and we can discuss the future of this battery swapping industry. So stay tuned!
