I think this should be taken more seriously than it might always be by everyone. I assume skeptical workers with earbuds and ADHD gamers. What kind though? Those already convinced of the inherent value of the discourse, or those who need to be seduced by, or sold on, this value?
Short answer: Epistemic humility and a skeptical disposition are something to dignify, so we need to consider what claims have been made and what the purposes of the various conversations we have already had are serving.
