Beijing PLA battle groups train in in the South China Sea

China’s Shandong aircraft carrier recently conducted realistic combat-oriented drills in the South China Sea, according to Chinese media citing the People’s Liberation Army. The exercises are reportedly aimed at testing the troops’ combat strength in conditions simulating a battle.
