Lalaurie's House "American Horror Story". Then the oldest bar in New Orleans (2022)

We start off in this video showing you the oldest bar in New Orleans "LAFITTE'S BLACKSMITH SHOP BAR" this place was not what I thought it would be. I assumed before seeing it person it would be a blacksmith themed bar. It 100% was not that at all. The Famous Purple drink also was a letdown. It just a super sweet frozen drink. If you are into super sweet frozen drinks this is the one for you. Now the cherries on the other hand will knock your socks off. Be careful with those guys.Show more

Next, we head over to the Lalaurie Mansion. This building is a neoclassical 1800s building with an infamously gory past, a common stop on city ghost tours. This house at 1140 Royal Street in New Orleans looks elegant on the outside. But the story of LaLaurie Mansion — so named for its mistress, Madame Marie Delphine LaLaurie — is one of torture and death. Way back in the 1830s, Delphine LaLaurie mercilessly tortured the people she enslaved. She restrained them, mutilated them, and subjected them to sick experiments. If it was not for a slave chain up in her kitchen that set a fire trying to end her own life, there is no telling how long this would have gone on.

After leaving this hunted house of horrors we head over the Rampart Treehouse to grab a slice of pizza and beer for happy hour. Three of us liked this place and one of us did not. Seems to be a growing trend on this trip.

Lastly Michael goes on the hunt for a strainer to make dinner for us tonight.
