Here is a short clip of footage and images of Rainbow Bridge, an iconic Route 66 landmark located near Riverton, Kansas, filmed in 2021. The bridge, built in 1923 is the only surviving Marsh Arch Bridge on Route 66. The bridge can be crossed but is one way, and a new bridge located nearby accommodates most traffic. Brad Paisley performed the song “Route 66” on the bridge in 2000 for a TLC special about Route 66. Pixar animators also visited the bridge when researching for the 2006 movie “Cars.” The song is a 1928 recording of Pine Top’s Boogie Woogie by Pine Top Smith. The recording is in the public domain.
