The Moment People Rush to SAVE Salman Rushdie After Onstage Attack'
Author Sir Salman Rushdie is suffering from serious injuries in hospital after being attacked while on stage at an even in New York.
He was due to give a speech at the Chautauqua Institution when a man stabbed him multiple times as he was being introduced to the audience.
Medics tried to treat the 75-year-old on-stage as the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Hadi Matar from New Jersey, was led away and arrested.
