CBT ANCHORING Meditation for Deep Relaxation and Anxiety Relief
Imagine a strong anchor – what is its purpose? Its purpose is to anchor a boat in place so it cannot drift away from the point of anchor. Well, in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming/NLP, ‘dropping anchor’ or anchoring is an effective technique for anchoring or reinforcing a certain sensation in place while in a deep state of relaxation, which enables greater suggestibility.
This technique can be used for a variety of conditions; including phobias, addictions, and panic attacks. The purpose of this CBT Anchoring Meditation for Deep Relaxation and Anxiety Relief enables you to anchor a state of relaxation that you can mentally call upon when you feel anxious or stressed. Additionally, when you practice this routine regularly, you may find that each time you do, the relaxation occurs more quickly and readily.
