Man turns Raw Land into Productive Market Farm using Simple Techniques. Full Garden Tour.

Farmer Ted bought this land 20 years ago and since then has been cultivating it with a variety of permaculture techniques to grow organic food hand in hand with mother nature. Since it is just him running the whole thing he grows mostly in 2 large green houses in fish farm containers so they are raised up off the ground for ease of harvest and planting. He does cultivate large rows of produce crops outside and implements a technique he refers to as intentional neglect, He only weeds the really competitive weeds like perennial sow thistle, and Barnyard grass because of their ability to effect the surrounding plants. Farmer Ted used to run an educational working farm that hosted field trips and the public, but because of insurance was forced to shut that part of his farm down, now he grows organic food for the public and sells it through his road side farm stand, and to local restaurants.
