My name is David and I'm a Software Engineer. I work in downtown Manhattan. I've been living in New York for a pretty long time I'd say about 12 years now. I'm originally from Texas, I ended up buying a studio apartment in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

I would definitely recommend Hauseit to friends or family because the process of communicating with them was extremely smooth. My experience with the broker was also very positive and very easy, and of course there was the discount aspect of it which made it just a no-brainer.

In my opinion, the partner broker that I was paired with through Hauseit was extremely professional. They were very good at communication, they were responding to emails and phone calls almost immediately and it was just all in all a very smooth professional process.

I decided to buy for many reasons. I think in my case it just made more sense economically because I've lived in New York for a long time and I'm probably still going to live in New York for some time and I would just much rather own the place I'm living in rather than paying rent.

I heard about Hauseit through online searches. When I decided I wanted to purchase an apartment, I did a lot of research online about various different brokerages ways of finding a broker to purchase in New York and Hauseit almost across the board had very positive reviews and I liked the description of their business model so that's why I went with them.

Whenever I buy anything, it's not even just for a house. When I buy groceries, I always look for the best price or the best deal compared to the quality. It seemed that Hauseit that was giving me the best value for my money.

My understanding is that sometimes there can be friction involved in using a discount broker because of I guess cultural reasons how the real-estate industry works in New York City. I thought that the discretion aspect was very important because none of the sellers that I was talking to kind of as far as they were concerned, it was just a regular broker I was working with and everything just proceeded quite normally from that respect.

In the beginning, I was a little worried I wasn't sure if it was actually a real thing because it seemed sort of a little too good to be true that these people are charging fifty percent or one-third of what a normal broker would be charging but after I did a good amount of research it seems like it was legitimate and they were simply offering the same service at a better price. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process.

I had in my case an extremely long process both for finding the apartment and also waiting to close, and I had great communication and my broker was extremely responsive. This was my first experience buying a house of in general and in New York City in particular as a whole. I was kind of shepherded through the process very well and so I'm very happy with my experience.

I would 100% work with Hauseit in the future!
