Day #270 of 365 Daily Gratitude -
Resting and recovering today. Allowing myself to meditate and re-balance my energy. My cat and I are playing with this unique art board and pondering non-attachment. This is a topic worthy of study and practice no matter what religion you come from or are heading towards. We can bring various aspects into our daily lives of many religions. I was blessed to grow up in a wonderful love-filled supportive Jewish community. I remain ever grateful for that. Thankful to have been exposed at a young age to alternative important belief systems other than just what my parents practiced. This has given me incredible tools as I made my way out in the big world far away from the sacred community I started with. I am so appreciative and a better person because of my upbringing and home town. I have studied the religions of the world and added bits of many into my own life practices. Understanding and pondering many of the Zen Buddhism lessons, meditations and teachings has rounded off and helped to soften my need to be in a fixed rigid defined description of "my religion". I am always learning and evolving the definition of what that means to me the more I open myself up to the beliefs of others.
