God is good all the time 582: Does God try to earn our Love?

This comes from a statement that I heard someone that was 'preaching' about Gods love for us. He was stating that God gives His love to us freely but He will do everything in His power to EARN our love. That is a very dangerous thing to say as it diminishes who God is and what He does for us.
