After 11 years of road cycling, and multiple bike fits, never before has this been recommended to me. And that is changing your crank length from 172.5 to 165, quite a significant jump. I have literally just ordered some new cranks which will be put on my BMC Teammachine SLR01 shortly. So in this video, a bike fitting expert here in Australia, provides a compelling argument as to why I should make this change after 11 years fo road cycling. Sadly, I have just recently purchased the SRAM Quarq power meter with 172.5 mm crank lengths, so the plan is to purchase some cheaper 105's without power and give it a try for a month or so and see what happens!
