So, I've been getting heckled quite a fair bit recently. My BMC Teammachine SLR01 with Shimano Uletgra, Quaq power, and Enve wheels has been sporting a 20mm chimney. So I recently took the bike into my local store, Trilogy Cycles where they installed new cranks, changing from 172.5mm to 165mm, and at the same time, they cut the top off my steerer tube. AKA the chimney. After a recent bike fit with Neill Standbury, who suggested the crank changes, I emailed him to inform the new cranks had been installed. He then indicated to me to change the seat height. Where this conundrum takes place. In this video I also narrow in on the pros and cons of cutting the steerer tube at certain lengths.
