Nautical Wheelers (Jimmy Buffett Acoustic Cover) - 2022 One Take series #129

On my travels last couple of weeks, I found an amazing amplifier while playing in Hungary, an Udo Roesner "Da Capo 75", that sounds wonderful! Roesner was the brains and engineer behind AER amplifiers in Germany, and he left to start his own line due to quality issues he felt had degraded AER products - somewhat akin to Leo Fender leaving to start G&L guitars.

I know it violates my premise for my videos, but I wanted to experiment with it to see how it sounds. My guitar is plugged in through a chorus pedal, and I'm running a Sennheiser mic through my Mic Mechanic for vocals. The volume is very low, just trying to get a little depth to my acoustic playing.

Let me know if you can hear a difference!

Jimmy Buffett is one of my favorite performers, definitely an inspiration. He writes from his life and does it so well. Here is the version I am hearing when I play it, from his 1973 "Introducing Jimmy Buffett" homemade movie.

2022 One Take series; pick up the guitar, and hit "record" for one go around - and see how it goes! No edit, no retakes, no amplification. My goal is to work through my playbook alphabetically (more or less) in the year, recording a video every day (more or less).
