Plastic Garden Shed - Solar Panel Mounts
A simple solar panel mounting technique for the garden shed.
The goal was to have a secure way to mount a pair of 60W solar panels on the garden shed without making holes in the roof. Using 2 - 5' pieces of Unistrut from my tilting solar panel rack and 2 pieces of scrap pallet wood, I came up with this solution. Each wood bracket fits into the groove of the strut with one screw and locks the struts into place on the roof. A few winter storms with high winds didn't move the panels at all, so this seems like a good solution. Also, easy to remove the panels and mounts for servicing the shed roof if needed.
