Now that Wray has shown how to make a fender stretching the sheet metal only using an English Wheel, he is now going to show you how shrinking the sides with a hammer or gathering tool moves the metal a lot faster. Once Wray shrinks the edges to create a curve in the panel, he planishes it out using the English wheel and then sets the panel to the wire form buck to see the progress being made.
