Uvalde bodycam footage shows more police inaction
New police bodycam footage from the Uvalde school shooting has shown the law enforcement’s lack of response to the massacre.
At the door to the room where the gunman was located, police instead seem to dispassionately argue over who is in charge, and what equipment is needed (besides the guns and armor they already have). They also appear to be not quite sure that the gunman is killing people, despite being told multiple times that children, only a few feet away, have called the police to tell them just that.
A damning report by the Texas House of Representatives into the police response to the shooting was released on Sunday, providing the most detail yet into the almost non-existent response of the police.
