Italy's president has rejected the resignation of prime minister Mario Draghi, who had vowed to quit just hours before. Italy's coalition government has been in power since February last year, and is made up of parties from across the political spectrum. However, after 18 months in power, the stumbling block for the coalition is a bill to help tackle rising inflation and soaring energy costs.
