PENDANT Dendrobiums - Winter resters? Is that a MUST? In my climate, not so much! Here's why!

In many cases, we hear of the 'WINTER RESTING DENDROBIUMS' and that for several months of the winter, in the N'ern and S'ern Hemisphere, these orchids should not receive any water in order to induce blooming. I agree, to some degree, and in this video I explain why I do not withhold water during these winter months for my 'winter resters'. It dispells the myth of ... better blooming. As you can see, mine are blooming profusely from all the nodes expected, despite having been watered. However, I do change one thing during the colder months of the year, when they are doing 'nothing' - meaning, not growing or pushing spikes. I only withhold fertilizer when the winter months kick in. Other than that, they get their water regardless. If you have any questions regarding my way of growing these beautiful species dendrobiums, please ask in the comments below and I will be happy to elaborate. Thank you so much for watching!!
