Creators big and small are not safe from the corrupted Copyright claim system. Not even corporations are safe. Whether it be a corporation overreacting over 5 seconds of music or sound effects or a corporate imposter abusing the system, claims will be made. Valid or not, people will suffer the consequences of them. But at what point will youtube suffer the consequences of their broken system? Do to the youtube getting into some legal trouble with Bungie over the CCS being abused for bogus copyright clams, youtube decided to update their system in hopes to make it harder for the system to be abused by almost any random shmuck. It's not guaranteed to fix the issue, but it's a step in the right direction. Their next update to the system should be to make sure the claim has to provide credentials that prove that they're either they legitimate copyright holder, or that the legitimately represent the original rights holder. This video is a tik Tok reply I made to a tic tok journalist a few years ago. Her video was going over a story about THC and CBD edible treats using the same if not similar parody logos and name brands as famous snack brands such as Hershey's, doritos, sweethearts, and many many others. This led to her asking the question which led to the discussion of whether or not it is parody friends are confusing children. Because children are starting to get into adult treats that they shouldn't be having. Well as somebody who does consume these adult treats once in a while, I definitely have something to say about the matter. Because I think I understand why kids are getting into this stuff. Now, no disrespect to the journalist creator who is just reporting on the matter. but I have a bit of an issue with some of her speculation in the video, and from there I will speak on the facts of the matter. Go ahead and consider that upon, because that's literally the name of one of the brand new features. The new hype feature is meant to be a new form of engagement videos right next to like you, dislike you, and commenting. But it's supposed to be three times or even five times the boost of typical engagement to help small content creators get a boost in the algorithm. But I personally find this hard to believe that it will be in any way, form, or fashion beneficial to the small creators such as myself. Returning to my previous topic for my previous video on the new YouTube hype feature. I want to talk a little bit more from the perspective of a small content creator and go over how a new future like this is probably going to do much for courage like me or on my size and my engagement rates. Now just to be clear, I'm not saying it's going to be completely ineffective or useless two small content creators won't sizes of all types, but just specifically for those around my size and engagement rates. As this feature could still bring the benefit to other small creators that at least get a good amount of engagement. But if somebody's been doing this for 3 plus years, what is the love somehow, and it's tired of YouTube attending my day here; I really just want to rent about how hard it is to be a small consecrate with no engagement. So well just scrolling my YouTube feed I found out that a creator that I'm a fan of for a long time was quitting youtube. This is unfortunate because left and right it seems like many of our favorite YouTubers are retiring for one reason or another. And in this video I pretty much wanted to get my thoughts on this as a fan and discuss whether or not this could be the fault of the algorithm. *Note: I was going to leave a link to Striders original video of him discussing the matter. But to my surprise, he managed to successfully get enough patreon subscribers to keep it going. I will mention this in an update video. Shout out to the fellow fans that supported Strider. Quick update on the whole situation of phantom strider leaving youtube. I found out in the process of trying to find the original video of him announcing this to link in my previous video, only to find out that he's in luck. He got enough patreon subscribers to the point where he can keep doing it for a little bit longer.
