So .. I'm in the midst of curating lists of trees suitable for food forest design in the temperate zones - mostly 5-8, with a few that overlap the boreal and tropical. 24 canopy trees, 33 understory trees so far, with descriptions and illustrations to come, lots of other useful data like fertility (does it need a pollinator?), bloom time, mycorrhizal associations and such built into the lists to make creating your own temperate food forest as painless as possible.

I was halfway through the shrub list when my word processor crashed .. and I do believe that there will be over 50 shrubs in the final version, and we haven't even started on vines and herbaceous perennials yet - so that means this book might be a monster .. some things, nice as they are, are just going to have to be left out, lest coffee tables buckle under the strain.
