Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes - Prologue (Hard) - Part 1: Crossed Roads

A new Nintendo-themed Warriors game has dropped last Friday, so let's dive right into it! Welcome to Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes!

Like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity did with Breath of the Wild, this game is based on the latest entry in the mainline Fire Emblem series, Three Houses (which I still need to go back to sometime to play through the other routes). More specifically, it's an alternate timeline to Three Houses set a year before that game's events (kind of like how Age of Calamity was an alternate past to Breath of the Wild). This timeline follows a mercenary named Shez who, in a battle with Jeralt's Mercenaries, nearly gets struck down by Three Houses protagonist Byleth (known in this timeline as The Ashen Demon) but is saved by an entity named Arval. From there, Shez has an encounter with the leaders of the titular Three Houses who were being attacked by bandits. After helping them, Shez is recruited to the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery, and the rest of the story depends on which house you choose.

Gameplay-wise, this game is similar to other Warriors games, with 1 vs 1000 hack-and-slash action, with additional gameplay elements taken from Three Houses including a free-roaming base camp, with shops and facilities to train up your warriors or boost their support levels by doing chores together or sharing meals together.
