How to REALLY Tire Out Your Dog By Playing Ball (with Rules, Boundaries, and Limitations)
Thank you, Dalexa, for sending your video!
If you've searched for ways to exercise your dog, you're likely to have found multiple resources that recommend playing ball (or fetch). Although physical activity is involved, the act of fetch is not exercise to your dog, it is affection. Even when fetch is used in the real-world setting of hunting, the dog must wait (stay) under the owner's command until released to retrieve the rabbit, quail, duck, or other small game.
Dogs need a lifestyle that balances affection with structured exercise.
