Friday Morning Devotions from Bethany Church, October 16, 2020

For our Friday devotion we return back to the letters of Samuel Rutherford and today we read as Rutherford wrote to Lord Loudon and encouraged him not to give in to the temptation to use worldly weapons to fight the Christ's battles, yet no to act is if his position in government did not allow him to use that authority for Jesus's bride. The second letter was to a fellow minister, Hugh MacKail, whom he waxed poetically to about the loveliness of Christ.
