Mom Returns For a Brief Visit 🦉 3/27/22 07:03

Mom returns this morning to the nest. She checks the pantries for food and only stays for 7 minutes before flying off from the Fairway Branch (not in video). I have never witnessed this type of behavior from her or any other female Great Horned Owl before. Things seemed to have changed after the last attempted Hawk attack and being flipped over from the high winds. It's almost as if she is trying to get the Owlet to fledge now, as in the past when her Owlets were ready, she would stay away a bit longer each day until they finally left the nest.
Left at 07:31 on 3/26/22 and Returned on 07:03 on 3/27/22.
Left again at 07:11 from the Fairway Branch.
